"Developing a strong formulation is at the very core of my therapeutic approach and I work together with my clients to create a space to fully understand the very thing that may be threatening their well-being and happiness, and to develop strategies for overcoming them."

Experience

I am a BPS and HCPC registered principal clinical psychologist. I have trained in England and Scotland and have over 14 years of experience working both in the NHS and the private sector. I have a doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology and a Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Neuropsychology.

My core specialities are trauma focused interventions and neuropsychology. Over the years, I have helped clients overcome challenges relating to adverse childhood events, including childhood maltreatment (neglect, emotional, physical and/or sexual abuse), and PTSD and Complex Trauma relating to interpersonal relationships, abuse, human trafficking, homelessness, and/or war. I treat adjustment and identity related issues, stress, depression, anxiety, panic, OCD and eating disorders. I also specialise in supporting clients and their loved ones in managing emotional, behavioural, and/or cognitive changes and adjustment difficulties after brain injury or neurological conditions.

I am a published author and have extensive research experience at the world renowned UCL Institute of Neurology, exploring elements impacting the psychological wellbeing, cognitive processes, and quality of life of patients with neurological conditions and that of their families. I have also researched the impact of early trauma and childhood maltreatment on outcomes later on in adulthood.
