Neuropsychological Assessment
Neuropsychological Initial Needs Assessment
An initial needs assessment involves a detailed understanding of a person’s situation and needs using interviews, questionnaires and clinical observation. It helps to tease apart what may be contributing to their difficulties and by considering whether it is related to a brain injury, a health condition, or related to mood and adjustment related difficulties. The assessment is helpful in identifying both strengths and weaknesses, and to support development of effective rehabilitation plans and interventions and to review and monitor a person’s progress and recovery, or otherwise. A thorough formal report is generated with the recommendations.
Neuropsychological Cognitive Assessment
A cognitive assessment is a comprehensive assessment of a person’s cognitive function and measures areas including a person’s premorbid ability, general skills and abilities in specific cognitive domains. It uses standardised assessment measures alongside interviews and clinical observation. A thorough formal report is generated reporting the full results of the assessment.
